Lee Allison Company was launched in 1995 when the owner could not fight the urge to create something with his own hands, despite having a distinguished career in account management. An early big break came when Barneys New York bought Allison's first collection of 13 whimsical yet sophisticated necktie designs. Since then, the offerings have grown to include bowties, cummerbund sets, formal vests, pocket squares, the occasional pillow, suspenders, and a line of fine cotton dress shirts.
Many of Lee Allison Company's tie fabric designs are 100% true originals, first drawn on paper, then woven in Europe at some of the best silk mills in the world. The silk fabric, shipped to their studio loft in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood, is then cut and sewn by hand and made into unique neckties and other accessories.
The desings range from topical illustrations and bold patterns to delicate motifs and neutral solid colors, so any groom, groomsman or gentleman wedding guest could find the perfect tie to expess his personality.
